Good Morning!

Today marks the second day of a brand-new project. The task at hand is a difficult one. Some might say impossible. I say never say never. Always do, never try.

I start my morning routine at 5 am. I wake up and first thing I do is check my cloud services and see how much money I have spent. It is kind of wild how easily you can rack up tons of charges. I usually roll out of bed and immediately grab a healthy bowl of Frosted Mini Wheats and 2 percent milk. This gives me the carbohydrates in the form of complex carbs as well as 2 percent low fat milk (Casein Protein) that gives me the tools needed to excel. Then I mix my protein drink in my stainless-steel shaker. It’s one scoop of Whey Protein Isolate, one scoop of Beta Alanine, and one scoop of creatine. It’s how I stay so athletic and lean. Then I dry scoop some pre-workout (I don’t, I take it with water) and head to the gym for cardio. Yesterday I did a massive weightlifting workout. Today, I’ll just be on the treadmill doing 3.5 mph at a 6-8 incline for an hour while listening to podcasts on underwater basket weaving.

I keep a written journal and I also have a white board. I like to keep track of my previous day’s work in the journal. Now, I translate my project into discrete tasks and enter them into Azure Dev Ops. The whole point of this is to organize myself. It also allows the team to see exactly what each project is broken down into.

I usually already have Epics created for me. I come in and make some Features, some Work Items, and some Tasks for those Work Items, and they go on the Sprint Board. We do daily standup at 11:30 AM where we discuss our immediate work and maybe some concerns that we may have, and then I go about my day. I love Dev Ops!
